Went to the Getty in LA last weekend and penned this at the Irving Penn show ( http://www.getty.edu/art/exhibitions/penn/ ). ‘Twas a great show, though a tad humbling.

So, I live in Santa Barbara county, California. Goleta is a small town just west of Santa Barbara proper. Strangely, it often smells of licorice because of all the wild fennel up on the bluffs. It also frequently smells of skunk.
