The inevitable apology post…

Right, so… as is so often the case, the project seemed to trail off a bit toward the end.  Definitely didn’t reach the number of poems I had hoped for.  Ah, well… That said, I’m still writing and creating, just doing some different stuff.  I hope some time to pick it back up.  It was much fun, but perhaps I need to set even more manageable goals like a haiku a day for 1 month or 3 months.  We shall see.  For now, happy holidays!

Turkey Day (taking the day off)

Happy Turkey Day!  I’m taking the day off to hang out with my family.  More haiku to come tomorrow. :)

Happy Birthday Haiku-A-Day!

Haiku-A-Day is a project by me, Matthew Bendert, designed, first and foremost, to give me a darn good reason to write each and every day.  As the name of the site implies, I’m planning on publishing at least one haiku per day for the next six months (starting in early October 2009).  I’ll be publishing all my own work, in a few different media, trying my best to keep to a consistent schedule and plan ahead when I’m going on vacation.  In the mean time, I better get to it.
